Warthog Wines
ORIGIN : Breede River Valley, South Africa
The vineyards in the Breede River Valley covers close to 40,000 acres (16,000 hectares). This valley has many tributaries, each with a different micro climate relating to rainfall, different terroir, different temperatures. This valley has all the elements, soils, climates, rainfall, which are normally found in the total wine producing areas of a wine producing country. In most of this valley, the berry sizes are controlled by water starvation programmes implemented as part of a carefully monitored and scientific viticulture method, to ensure optimum flavour of the fruit and skins. Very few of the known natural enemies for vineyards exist in this valley.
